Our Learn to Swim program is a fun, practical way for your kids to learn to swim. With participation and practise time maximised during classes, it develops effective swimming techniques and teaches essential water survival skills - priceless!

Active Kids Vouchers

Ready to redeem an Active Kids voucher with us?

You've now enrolled your child into Learn to Swim, and have successfully applied for and received your Active Kids voucher. The last step is to redeem the voucher against your Learn to Swim enrolment.

  • Your child must first be enrolled into the Learn to Swim program. This can be done by calling our customer help desk on , or chatting to our friendly team in-centre.

    1. Once you have received your Active Kids voucher submit the voucher details via this link.
    2. Our team will confirm the validity of the voucher and register it to your child’s enrolment in the Learn to Swim program.
    3. You will receive an email confirming the voucher has been successfully redeemed.
    4. Your credit will then be applied to your enrolment in our program and will be reflected in your direct debiting cycle.

  • Learn to Swim caters to:

    Infants with their parents - Children aged 6 months to 3 years

    Preschoolers - Children aged 3 to 5 years

    Primary school aged children - Children aged 5 years and above

  • You can redeem a free swimming skills assessment to determine your child's swim level. and our help desk will contact you with more information.

  • No, you can start anytime. Our Learn to Swim program runs for 48 weeks per year. You don't need to wait until the start of the new school term.

    • A towel
    • Goggles or cap, if the student prefers
    • A happy and cheery smile with lots of energy
    • Students membership card and rewards card
    • A hat or beanie to keep the head warm in winter

    We have a 'Happy nappy' policy, which requires all children under the age of 3 (regardless if they are toilet trained) to wear an aqua nappy.

  • Yes, parents/guardians must remain in the centre while their child is participating in Learn to Swim lessons.

    The City of Sydney's centres are partnered with Royal Life Saving's “Keep Watch at Public Pools Program” to protect and safeguard children and young people, so they can swim safely and be supervised at all times.

    For more information about the program, visit Royal Life Saving Australia to better understand your role in the active supervision of your child or family member.

  • Free entry for two supervising adults accompanying the child to their regular swimming lesson is included with the students enrolment.

    A spectator fee applies to any additional adult/s or children accompanying the student to the class.

  • Yes, if you need to make a change to your regular class, we can help you find alternative class days, times or locations. Spots in classes are subject to availability.

  • Yes, our swim school is a registered Active Kids voucher provider. Learn more.

  • Yes, make-up lessons are available if you're unable to attend an upcoming lesson. Up to 7 days to 2hrs notice is required to withdraw from an upcoming lesson.

    Your enrolment is eligible for one make-up lesson every 30 days.

    The make-up lesson is available for 60 days from the date if withdrawing from the class.

  • A make-up lesson can be claimed by withdrawing from the upcoming lesson.

    Please respect our precautionary health rules and refrain from lessons if the enrolled student is suffering from the following:

    1. Any contagious disease, including but not limited to Conjunctivitis, Rubella, Covid-19, Flu, fever, head cold, runny infected noses, sore throats, cold sores - refrain from swimming for one (1) week.
    2. Flu, fever, head cold, runny infected noses, sore throats, cold sores - refrain from swimming for one (1) week.
    3. Vomiting, diarrhoea, ringworm, head lice and urinary tract infection - refrain from swimming for two (2) weeks.
  • The 360 Learn to Swim Family membership includes enrolment for a minimum two children in the Learn to Swim program.

    Aquatics programming is only applicable for the children in each family unit, and is limited to one swimming lesson per week, for each child.

    Suspensions, refunds or credits (including Active Kids vouchers) do not apply to Learn to Swim enrolments as part of a family membership.

Advanced swimming programs

Students are encouraged and supported to explore competitive swimming. For advanced swimmers looking to take the next step, both Squads and the City of Sydney Aquatic Club offer additional programming and improvement opportunities.
